Mark Gerard O’Shea of Miramichi, NB, lost his battle with a lifelong illness on Monday, May 25, 2026, at his late residence at the age of 64. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Norman and Mary (Black) O’Shea. Mark worked at various jobs over the years as a mechanic but more recently enjoyed being his own boss and working for himself. He was a member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America Local # 900.  

Mark brought laughs to so many and encouraged tough conversations by being so open and understanding. He will be greatly missed by his children: Sheralee Fernandez (Jordan) and Bryce O’Shea both of Miramichi, NB; his grandchildren who he loved so much: Myka and Nico Furlong and Riley Sonier-Ross; siblings: Cynthia Snyder (late James) of Nova Scotia; Theresa Mastel (Ben) of Alberta; Joan O’Shea of Moncton, NB; Brian O’Shea (Monique) of Alberta; John O’Shea (Tammy) of Napan, NB; special friend: Yvette Gallant; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Jardine Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 10 AM with Pastor Geoff McLean officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
