The death of Shirley Mae (Matchett) Mullin wife of the late James Mullin of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Trout Brook, NB, occurred on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Vondy House, Miramichi, NB at the age of 87.

Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Irvine and Gurnetta (MacDonald) Matchett. Shirley retired from the Fundy Line Motel and was a member of Wesley United Church as well as the Trout Brook Ladies Aid. After moving to Newcastle, she would often attend The Point Church, Miramichi. Shirley enjoyed playing cards at the Sunny Corner Lions Club as well as rug hooking with the Miramichi Crafters.
