Palmer, Jean Ada passed away early in the morning of December 4, 2024 at the Tabusintac Nursing Home.
Our Mom was born on June 25, 1932, in Tabusintac, New Brunswick and was the oldest daughter of the late Edgar and Maude (Price) Hierlihy. She married our Dad, Boucher Palmer, on October 10, 1953.
She was predeceased by our Dad, her brothers, Glen, Ernie and Frank, and her daughter, Barbara Jean.
The adult children left behind to carry on are: Laurie Palmer (Angele) of Tabusintac, Wendy Colter (Lee) of Fredericton, Evan Palmer (Anne-Marie) of Tabusintac and Myrna-Lee Porter (Wade) of Woodstock. She dearly loved all her grandchildren and they are: Natasha Colter (Neil), Adam Colter (Sara), Matthew Palmer (Michael McKee), John Henry Palmer (Kara), Phillip Palmer (Kristina), Billy Palmer, Ashley Palmer (Emile), Jonah Palmer, Gilbert Porter and Lydia Porter.
Eight great grandchildren blessed her heart – Nate, Will, Hudson, Charlie, Joeve, Judson, Hailey and Lucy.
Jean will be greatly missed by her sisters, Lois (Marson), Dorothy-Anne (late Billy), Mildred (Gordon), brother Lawrence (Jeannette) and extended family including her sisters-in-law, Julia, Edith and Shirley.
Mom was a very hands-on, caring and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She took great joy in keeping house, she loved to talk on the phone and loved to shop back in her prime. And she made the best bread and butterscotch and blueberry pies ever!
We are thankful that she is at rest now but will miss her greatly.
Mom was a resident of the Tabusintac Nursing Home since April of 2015 and the family wishes to thank all the staff that cared for her there. She loved the company, the music, the special events and was quick to tell us “they take such good care of me”.
To celebrate our Mom and her life, we will...
