The death of Helen (Dowling) Hachey wife of David Hachey of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the age of 70. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Janet (Keatings) Dowling. Helen and David lived in Ontario for many years prior to moving to Miramichi after her retirement from Bingo Country where she was the Manager. Her family was the center of her world, and she loved spending time with them as well as playing bingo and watching movies.

Besides her husband, Helen is survived by her children: Jennifer Rennie (Brett) of St. Thomas, ON; Stephen Hachey (Michelle) of St. Thomas, ON; Sean Hachey (Stephanie) of Miramichi, NB; brothers: James Dowling of Miramichi, NB; John Dowling (Gabrielle) of Mindin Hills, ON; brother-in-law: Donald Hachey of Miramichi, NB; seven grandchildren: Alyesha, Dylan, Heather, Stewart, Kayden, Kayla and Ryker as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Helen is predeceased by her sister: Kathleen Hachey.

At Helen’s request there will be no visitation or service. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
