The family of Deborah “Debbie” Lee Storey regretfully announce that she passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.
Debbie, aged 69, was born in Doaktown, the only daughter of the late Sterling Lyons and Elizabeth Doak. She is dearly missed by her husband of 50 years, Eldred “Bruce” Storey, and her beloved son, Brian Storey.
Debbie’s kind and loving spirit was clear to all who knew her, and so her absence will be felt far beyond their household. Her many friends and relatives, despite the sadness that comes with losing her, are nevertheless better prepared for the journey ahead because of the good fortune of having been welcomed into her loving home, where her door was always open to one and all.
The surviving family of her long time neighbor, the predeceased Jessica Campbell, Jessica’s husband Lawrence Campbell, and their children, Jesse and Savannah, and grandchildren join Bruce and Brian in their grief and sadness over losing Deb.
Yet those who knew her can also take comfort in the faith that Debbie held so dear, that of the sure and certain hope of resurrection to eternal life, through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Following her wishes, a memorial graveside ceremony will be held in the spring, when Debbie is laid to rest at the First Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Doaktown at a date to be later announced.
In memory of Debbie, donations can be made to the Living Family Memorial. Messages of condolence can be sent through the funeral home website: www.miramichifunerals.ca
