It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of R. Elaine Cooke, beloved wife of Terrance Cooke on February 12, 2026, at Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home. Born in St. Stephen, NB, on June 15, 1946, she was the only daughter of the late Herbert and Rheta Matthews of L’Etete, NB.

Besides her loving husband, Terry, of 60 years, she will be greatly missed by her daughter Sharon Cooke of Quispamsis, NB, her son Stephen and his wife Lissa (Carroll) Cooke of Miramichi, NB, and her beloved grandson Christopher Cooke (Anna) of Moncton, NB.
