RCMP find remains of man missing since Sept 30

The 70-year-old man from Baie-Sainte-Anne, N.B., who was reported missing to police on October 4, 2025, has been located deceased near the shores of Prince Edward Island.

The Richibucto RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 70-year-old man from Baie-Sainte-Anne, N.B.

 
Louis Sippley was last seen on September 30, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., on a boat near Sandy Point Park campground, off the coast of Baie-Sainte-Anne. He was reported missing to police on October 3, 2025. Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate him, but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and his family and friends are concerned for his wellbeing.
 
Louis Sippley is described as being approximately five feet seven inches (170 centimetres) tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds (68 kilograms). He has blue eyes and white hair. He has a bear paw tattoo on his neck and other tattoos on his right arm. He was last seen wearing a dark green rain jacket.
His boat is described as a small grey boat with “D-59” painted in black on the front.
