A new laundromat has opened in Chatham at the corner of Princess and Wellington at Carter's Family Convenience.  Owner Dan Carter says he thinks there is a need for the service in Chatham and says he knows of people who have been driving to Newcastle to use the only other laundromat service in the city.

The hours of operation match that of the adjacent corner store where people can by the loonies required to operate the machines.

There are four washers and four dryers and it costs $4 for each cycle.
