Dr. John Philpott, a native of Miramichi, New Brunswick, earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. With a background in sports medicine, he previously served as the team physician for the Canadian Senior Men’s Soccer Team and currently works with Skate Canada’s Senior National Team and the Canadian Senior Men’s Basketball Team. He was also chosen as a Figure Skating Venue Physician at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Dr. Philpott practices sports medicine at Cleveland Clinic Canada Midtown, holds an Assistant Professor position in the Section of Community Paediatrics at the University of Toronto, and is involved in various committees, including the University of Toronto’s Sport and Exercise Medicine PGY3 residency program and CASEM’s credentials committee.
