Mary R. Gray

Mary R. (Shea) Gray, wife of the late Leslie A. Gray, of Millbank, NB passed away at her residence on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the age of 90.

Born in Ferry Road NB she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Loggie) Shea. Mary worked as a switch board operator and secretary for several local companies, including St. Margaret’s Radar Station, CFB-Chatham and retired from Defence Construction in 1981.  

Mary is survived by her daughter Susan & son-in-law Wayne Simpson of Miramichi, granddaughter Terri Lynn (Gene) Thompson of Brighton ON, twin great granddaughters Harper and Brynn, twin step-great granddaughters Kelsey (Zach) and Kasey (Zach) and their children Georgia, Penelope, and Tyson.

She is also survived by her brother Douglas (Peggy) Shea of Coniston, ON, sister-in-law Sandra Shea of Miramichi, NB and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her sisters Eleanor Goodwin (Earl) and Margaret MacKenzie (Kenneth), brothers Eugene Shea and Francis Shea (Lorraine), brothers-in-law, Ellis Gray and Eldon Gray, and sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Bessie” Steeves (Art). She was also predeceased by her stillborn son, Edward.

A Graveside service will be held at a later date.
