The death of Joseph “Joe” Anthony Rice, husband of Lorna (Savoie) Rice of Losier Hall, Miramichi, NB, occurred on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his late residence at the age of 80. Born in Limerick City, Ireland he was the son of the late Stephen and Rita (Hogan) Rice. Joe was a retired car salesman prior to moving to NB to be closer to Lorna’s family. He enjoyed watching movies.

Besides his wife, Joe is survived by his children: Shannon Weiss (Eric) of USA; Kevin (Lori) and Darryl (Julie) all of Keswick, ON; siblings: Christopher (late Ann) of Erdington, UK; Donald (Ann) of Wolverhampton, UK; William (Ann) of Solihull, UK; John (Carol) of Stansted, UK; Stephen (Caroline) of Staffordshire, UK; grandchildren: Madelyn, Dylan, Evan and Easton as well as many nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents, Joe is predeceased by his sister: Ann “Nancy” O’Donovan.

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at Jardine Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 11 AM with Rev. Willard Watling officiating.
