York Evan Donnelly, loving and life-long partner of Brenda Weaver of Doaktown, NB, passed away at Percy’s Place, Miramichi, NB, on Wednesday, June 6th, 2024, at the age of 76.

Born in Doaktown, NB, on December 17th, 1947, York Evan Donnelly was the son of Prescilla (Munn) Donnelly, and the late Allen Donnelly.

York was a true Miramichi Woodsman and worked most of his life in the woods. He loved being outdoors and specialized in helping to fall the difficult and extremely large and over-sized trees left behind by large forestry equipment. He was well-known in the community for his smile and helping hand. York would help anyone in need, and loved to do so, helping anyone he could. He was also known for his quick wit and sense of humour, especially with fellow workers. Music was a major and identifying part of his life, playing drums and guitar, as well as listening to music.  He was a collector of all things, especially records, CDs, and mini-guitars. One of his greatest passions was his love for his cherished Chow dogs that expanded over 35 years.
