William McCoombs of Miramichi NB passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Percy’s Place on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the age of 85. 

He was born in Trout Brook to Frederick “Fred” and Annie (Norton) McCoombs. Bill, affectionately known as Willie, was a quiet hardworking man and a proud member of the United Church. He was a dedicated worker for UPM for over 30 years before retiring in 2001. He was an avid camper and traveller, going on many RV and bus trips with his favourite travelling companion, his loving wife Phyllis. He was a loving and devoted father to his daughter Sherry. He was a man of the great outdoors and enjoyed four-wheeling and snowmobiling with his buddies in his spare time.

He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis (Campbell) McCoombs, and daughter Sherry McCoombs of Miramichi NB. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family, and loved ones.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Betty Ann (Danny) Redmond, and brother Donald (Judy) McCoombs.
