Roberta, known by all as Bobbie, passed away peacefully at her home in Newcastle on Sunday, July 28, 2024, after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Richard MacAllister who predeceased her in 2014. Bobbie was born in Newcastle, NB, on January 17, 1944, the daughter of Robert and Christine (Cadger) Jardine of Maple Glen, where she lived for many years. 

She and Richard built a new home on Jane St. about thirty-five years ago, and their house (and veranda) always welcomed numerous friends and family. Their hospitality was legendary. 

Bobbie is survived by her son, Gordon (Cheryl Baisley), Chaplin Island Rd; her daughter Margaret (Donald Matheson) of Newcastle. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Catherine Waye and her brother, William (Billy) Jardine. 

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very dear to her and although they are living nearby and far away, she kept them close to her heart. They include grandchildren, Terri Hambrook and Matthew MacAllister (Deborah); Jeff Waye (Samantha) and Spencer Waye; and Daryl Matheson and Laura Matheson. Her great-grandchildren are Wyatt and Avery Hambrook; Lily and Reece MacAllister; Henry and Daniel Waye; and Miley, Carly and Wesley Leblanc.
