Peggy Jane (Malcolm) Stewart of Miramichi, NB, passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on June 30th, 2024, at the age of 63 surrounded by her family.

Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick, on November 24th, 1960, Peggy Jane (Malcolm) Stewart was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ruby (McDavid) Malcolm.

Peggy is survived by her children:  Jeremy Hannah and Amy Hannah, both of Miramichi, and Cody Stewart (Amelia) of Blackville; brother, Gary Malcolm (Audrey) of Edmonton, AB; sisters:  Shelly Watling (David), Anne Quann (Teddy), Gina Quann (Eddie), all of Miramichi; grandchildren: Gavin and Jaidalyn Hannah of Miramichi, and Kenzie and Katli Stewart of Blackville.  Peggy is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. 

Besides her parents, Lawrence and Ruby Malcolm, Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Gary Stewart; infant brother, Gary Robert, and brother, Larry Malcolm; as well as mother-in-law, Bernice Stewart. 

Peggy worked at Sobey’s as a Cashier for the past 17 years, and was recently retired.  Above all, she loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren, and all her animals, especially walking her blessing rescue dog, Finley.  She greatly enjoyed her 70’s music, dancing, reading, card games, board games, and sweets. She had a “sweet-tooth”, and loved her sweets!  She also loved bonfires, and delighted in any type of get-togethers with her family and friends.
