The passing of Mabel Alice (Waye) Ashton, wife of the late Sherman Ashton, formally of CI Road, occurred on Friday, December 12, 2025, at her residence at the age of 79. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Hazel (Phair) Waye. 

Mabel is survived by daughter: Laura Lee Ashton (Brian) Grandchildren: Ashton, Graham (Jennifer) and Anne Shunamon; Great grandchildren: Reid Hebert, Bree Shunamon, Wyatt and Quinn Sobey; all of Miramichi

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by brothers: Charles and Vernon Waye, nephew: Hiram Waye;
