It is with profound sadness that the family of Leo Anthony Sullivan announces his sudden passing on July 6, 2025, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.
Born on May 15, 1945, to the late Anthony and Dorthy (Power) Sullivan, Leo lived a life rooted in faith, service, and deep devotion to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Janet (Fraser), and their three sons: Shawn (Jodi), Kevin (Chancey), and Brian. Leo was a proud granddad to Anthony, Annabella, Daniel, Harrison, and Owen, who brought great joy to his life.
Leo is predeceased by his parents; his in-laws, Donald and Marjorie Fraser; and his beloved son, Anthony Donald Sullivan.
He dedicated his career as a Property Manager to Canadian Forces Base Chatham for 30 years, and was a loyal member of the Knights of Columbus, and Bernard M. Broderick Council 1219, for an incredible 50+ years.
Leo will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering commitment to those he loved, and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sean Losier, Dr. Gerard Losier, and the Miramichi Regional Hospital staff who took great care of Leo.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Father David Rioux as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
