John Joseph Raiche, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at Percy's Place, on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the age of 72.

Born in Tracadie, NB he was the son of the late Michael and Rita (Lanteigne) Raiche. John is survived by five brothers Michael (Jacqueline) of Pokemouche, Lucien (Late Dorina) of Saint John, Timothy (Sue) of Grande Prairie, Roger (Late Claire) of Montreal, and Allan (Late Pam) of Lethbridge; one sister Mary (Ted) of Miramichi; several nieces and nephews and dear friends Jeannine Morris and Wilson Kingston. John was predeceased by his parents, brother O'Neil Raiche; sisters Patricia Raiche and Lucy Gerard.

John, a grad from Miramichi Valley High School in 1970, went on to enjoy his career as an orderly at Montreal Jewish General Hospital. Later in life he used his gift for sales while living in the United States, Alberta, and Montreal. John was quick to volunteer his time and talents to help people. If you needed to go to the hospital in Moncton, and didn't have any means, John's free taxi would get you there in jig time. 

With a heart-felt laugh that was contagious, he served his community through the Lion's Club, his church, and as a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Father Eagan Council #8381.
