Jim Vickers, 85 of Moncton and formally of Howard NB, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Born in Howard, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Margaret (Keenan) Vickers.

Jim was a retired Laundry Supervisor at The Moncton Hospital with 33 years service. He attended St. Augustin’s Catholic Church. Jim enjoyed cheering the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, having been a guides man for over 40 years on the Miramichi River.

Jim is survived by his children Brent (Vickie), Lisa Pitre (Mike) and Todd (Gina); grandchildren, Nelson (Tiffany), Branden (Tawnya), Dillon, Lacey (Mike); great grandchildren, Shirley, Nolan, Paige, Cooper, Timothy, James, Nate, Piper and Hunter; brothers Ronnie (Beatrice) and Robert; sisters Norine and MaryAnne; special nephew Steven Vickers and many extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his wife Christina (Brophy) (January 2023), brothers Ivan and David, sister Florence.

Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 10:30 am from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton NB (858-1995), with Rev. Angus Johnson presiding. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Howard, at a later date.
