Irene Eileen Donovan, of Bridgeview Hall, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born in Economy, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Marceline and Aurele Leger. She was a homemaker but also spent some time working as a secretary and a translator for Lockerbie's Insurance.

Mom loved the beach and spent 4 weeks each year in Cuba (two weeks each fall and two more each spring - about 20 trips in total) and enjoyed lobster whenever she could get them. Her grandchildren were special to her, and she spent many hours sitting or at the rink with them. She also enjoyed being with her friends at the curling rink and the golf course over the years.
