On Saturday, July 13, 2024, Heather A. Johnston passed away. Beloved daughter of Jessie (Mullin) Johnston.
She attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Heather spent many years as an artist educator with the Royal Conservatory of Music, “Learning through the Arts”, program and the help desk in Nova Scotia for the First Nation schools. She did Artist Residencies/Art Smart programs at NSEE in Sunny Corner, NB. Her students were always an inspiration to her. Heather also supplemented her income working in the retail sector.
She loved to travel, one of her favourite go to spots, Prince Edward Island.
She also loved gardening, was an avid reader, and doing many art/craft projects.
