Our cherished mother, Geraldine Catherine Richard of Miramichi, wife of the late Lawrence Richard, died on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 90.

Born in Barnaby River, NB, on June 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Genevieve (Brennan) Daley.

In 1952 she graduated from the practical nursing program at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Chatham, NB, and worked as a Registered Nursing Assistant at hospitals in Maine, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Quebec. She devoted most of her life to her husband, and her children and grandchildren who were guided by her warmth, love, kindness and patience.

A person of deep faith, she was a longtime parishioner at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi, and a CWL member.
