Evelyn Mary Fletcher (Rigley) of Little Bartibog, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on January 19, 2026, at the age of 72.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on September 23, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Evelyn (Clancy) Rigley. Evelyn worked as a Human Service Counselor for many years. She loved working as an Exchange Student Coordinator.

On Saturday mornings, you would often find Evelyn at one of her favourite hangouts - The Chatham Farmers Market. Evelyn was one of the Chatham Farmers Markets' founding members, past president and the head honcho at "Ev's Stuff Inc."

Evelyn's truly had a heart of gold, especially for her most prized possessions, her seven beautiful grandchildren. From cooking suppers and weekend sleepovers to watching basketball games and summer camping trips, Evelyn was always up a "Nana adventure".

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Michael Fletcher; one daughter, Kate Elms (Michael) of Halifax, Nova Scotia; two sons: Paul Fletcher and John Fletcher (Natalie) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; seven grandchildren: Bridget, Delilah, Kellan, Kylie, Khloe, Kyron and Kade; two sisters: Kathy Kingston (Leonard) and Mary McEatheron (Eldon); two brothers: Jack Rigley (Beth) and Don Rigley (Michelle); one sister-in-law, Carolyn Rigley; as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brother Joe.
