We Remember SYDNEY BREAU 

Peacefully surrounded by his family at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, passed away Sydney Breau, on Tuesday July 1 2025, at the age of 94. 

He was the husband of Léona Breau (born Godin) for 74 years. He resided at Villa of Néguac, formerly of Tabusintac. 

Born on September 8 1930, he was the son of the late Prime Breau and of the late Délia Roussel.

Beside his wife, he was survived by his two daughters: Rose-Marie Cormier (Norbert Basque) and Denise Fath (Joe); his two sons: Robert (Rita) and Yvon (Rosemonde); his two sisters: Édith Kelly and Rita Mignault; his sister-in-law, Rosanna (late Réginald); as well as many brother-in-law’s and sisters-in-laws of the Godin family; his nine grandchildren: Carole, Donna, Jonathan, Daniel, Michel, Adam, Tyler, Jean-François and Louis-Philippe, as well as several godsons, goddaughters, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; his three sisters: Georgina, Bernadette and Thelma, as well as his two brothers: Samuel and Réginald.

The family will receive condolences starting at noon on Friday, July 4 2025 at the Coopérative Funéraire La Colombe funeral home, located at 667, chemin Saulnier Ouest in Tracadie. 

The celebration of life will be held, at the same day at 2pm.

Visitation hours: Friday July 4 at noon until the celebration of life.

In memory of M. Breau, a donation to the cemetery of Covedell will be appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Coopérative Funéraire “La Colombe” Ltd. of Tracadie.
