It is with great sadness we announce that Dawn Marie Corcoran, age 49, passed away suddenly at her home on April 27, 2024.

Born in Chatham, NB, Dawn spent the early part of her career working with corrections and the sheriff’s department and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially during St. Patrick’s Day and Irish Festival celebrations.  

Her greatest joy were her nieces and nephews Robert, Sonya, Joey, Evan and Gavin and her great nieces and nephew. 

Dawn made her home in Eastern Passage, where she excelled at her career as a Continuing Care Assistant at Ocean View long term care facility. She loved working with her residents and working alongside an amazing team of caregivers and friends.

Dawn was an animal lover and enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles and spending time with her husband Joel and their very spoiled dog Guinness. Together they shared love and laughter and forged many amazing memories together.

Those memories will continue to be shared by her husband Joel, her stepchildren Hannah and Ryan, her Mother Rose, her siblings and their partners Wayne (Lynn), Jerry (Alfreda), Cheryl (Tony), Tara (Charlie) and their children and grandchildren. She will also be deeply missed by her parents-in-law Ted and Gerri, her siblings in-law and their partners Cindy (Larry), Wendy, Chris (Nat) and their children as well as an extensive number of family, friends and co-workers. Dawn was predeceased by her father, Gerald.

A celebration of life will be held at a time to be determined later by the family, but those wishing to honour her memory may do so through a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation www.heartandstroke.ca or the Nova Scotia S.P.C.A. www.novascotiaspca.ca
