Alvin Ace Doucet, of Baie-Sainte-Anne, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, he was the son of the late Alfreda (Savoie) and Francis Doucet. He worked as a mechanic in his earlier years, but found his true passion later as a fisherman.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Lucina (Martin) Doucet of Baie-Sainte-Anne; daughters, Colleen Doucet (Tom) of Ottawa, ON, and Debbie Doucet (Léon) of Pointe-Sapin; stepson, Ghislain Martin (Pierrette) of Dieppe; four brothers, Mark (Rosemonde), Frank (Andréa), Melvin (Mona), and Stephen (Brigitte) all of Baie-Saint-Anne; five sisters, Alvina (Walter) of Montreal, Jeanne D’Arc of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Pierrette (Raymond) of Escuminac, Gladys of St John’s, NL, and Marie (Late Blaine) of Salisbury; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne D’Arc and Donna; six grandchildren Lucas, Jérémi, Nathan, Jordan, Noah, and Sarah; four great grandchildren Théo, Thomas, Nico, and Forrest; as well as many nieces and nephews.
