The death of Ronald “Ron” Flieger, husband of the late Sheila (MacDonald) Flieger, of Mount Saint Joseph and formerly of Napan, NB, occurred on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at his residence at the age of 79. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late George and Bertha “Bertie” (Roach) Flieger. Ron worked as a steam & recovery manager at Repap. He was also an avid outdoorsman with a love for fly fishing.

Ron is survived by brother: Ian Flieger (Stella) of Miramichi, NB; sisters: Jane Norris (Garth) of Creston, BC, Beth Brennan (late Fred) of Fredericton, NB, Patty Flieger of Miramichi, NB; sisters in law: Diane MacDonald, Nancy Adams (Blaine); brother in law: Darrell MacDonald; friend: Erma Fowlie; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents, Ron is predeceased by brother: Ted; father and mother in law: Harold and Bertha MacDonald; sister in law: Doreen MacDonald; brother in law: Bliss MacDonald.

Following Rons wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will take place at Jardine Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 11 o’clock with Rev. Ian Betts officiating, with a reception following at Lions Senior Citizens Hall. Interment will take place at St. Stephen’s United Cemetery at 2 o’clock.
