Philip Allen “Al” Pleadwell of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on September 25, 2025, at the age of 68.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, he was the son of the late Reginald and Florence (Rankin) Pleadwell.  Al worked for Vye Construction as a flagger for many years.

Al is survived by his common-law spouse, Peggy Miller; one daughter, Melissa Starratt (Brad) of Ontario; one son, Jeremy Pleadwell (Angel) of Surrey, British Columbia; one step-daughter, Amanda Miller (Jimmy) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; one step-son, Cody Miller (Katelyn Sturgeon) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; as well as sixteen grandchildren: Ivy, Harper, Mackenzie, Ethan, Joseph, Tyler, Khloe, Paisley, Sofia, Jozee, Bevin, Annie, Abbie, Cameron, Ethan and Taylor.  He was predeceased by his parents.

Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.  Funeral service will be held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel, 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM with The Reverend Keith Carter officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the New Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
