The death of Mary Ruth “Buzzy” Lambert common-in-law partner of Richard Wright of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, occurred on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Miramichi Hospital at the age of 62. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Sr. and Clara (Dedam) Lambert. Ruth worked for Esgenoôpetitj First Nation as a Beautification Worker. In her younger years she loved playing softball and was an outfielder.

Besides her partner, Ruth is survived by her children: Eileen Lambert, Brandon Lambert, Dayton Robichaud all of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; foster child: Mitchell Barnaby at home; siblings: Theresa Bonnell (Venance), Josephine Ward (Michael), Della Dedam (Harold Somerville), Nancy Lambert, Lisa Lambert all of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; Grace Lambert of Bathurst, NB; Wilfred Lambert Jr., Gerald Lambert, Victor Lambert, John Lambert, Todd Lambert all of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; grandchildren: Hunter, Ocean, Rachel as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Ruth is predeceased by sister: Corinne Lambert, brother: Chester Lambert, sisters-in-law: Pam Lambert and Sandra Lambert; niece: Anne Marie Lambert and nephew: Keith Dedam.

The family will receive visitors at her home, 97 Algonquin Drive, Esgenoôpetitj on Sunday, November 9, 2025, after 7 PM and again on Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 2 PM with Father Cornelius Ngurukwem officiating.
