The death of Eugene “Genie” Austin Sherrard, husband of Theresa (Aubé) Sherrard, of South Nelson, NB, occurred on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 65. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late Andy and Shirley Sherrard.

Besides his wife of 48 years Theresa, he is survived by his children: Jeremy (Heather), Tyson (Erica), Candace Crandall (Guss); grandchildren: Hayley, Dustin, Madison, Damien, Lana, Owen, Dylan, Carley, Trina, Albion; great granddaughter: Faith; siblings: Alton (Skook), Jeff (Bonnie), Crystal (Glen); mothers of his grandchildren: Sarah Matchett and Jocelyn Breau; brother and sister in laws: John (Peggy), Anita, Armand (Melita), Paul (Nancy), Anne, Percy (Janet), Lionel (Elaine), Ronnie (Delores), Stanley, Hazel (Stephen), Tina (Calvin), Lucas (Paula); aunt and uncle: Ronnie Sherrard (late Pheobe), Judy Crosse (late Mike); as well as his loving dog: Daisey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by in laws: Percy and Theresa (Arsenault) Aubé. 

Following Genies wishes, there will be no visitation. A family service will take place at Jardine Funeral Home Chapel at a later date.
