Andre (Dédé) Joseph Daigle of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on June 11, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick on May 9, 1937, he was the son of the late Baptiste and Annie (Martin) Daigle. Andre was a fisherman for many years. He was a transporter from Baie-Sainte-Anne to Miramichi for the Baie-Sainte-Anne Clinic. He attended Sainte Anne’s Catholic Church.
Andre had many nieces and nephews that were very close to him, and he was a favorite uncle and cousin. He was the Baie taxi always willing to drive or help someone in need. He was a good listener and never judged no one. He was also a godfather to many. Lynne (Benoit) would always visit and make sure he was ok. Andre will certainly be missed by everyone.
Andre is survived by his two daughters: Jeannette Thebeau (Neil) of Black River Bridge, New Brunswick and Antoinette Daigle (Jacques) of Tracadie, New Brunswick; four grandchildren: Mathieu, Annie (Benoit), Amy and Luc; five great-grandchildren: Austin, Aubree, Brian, David and Esmee; one nephew/brother, Aquila (Carmella) of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, Claudette (Martin) Daigle, daughter, Sonia, two sisters: Baselice (Israel) and Dorina (Arcade), two brothers: Jean-Baptiste (Lucienne) and Louie (Dora).
At the request of the family there will be no visitation or mass. A graveside service will be held at Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Cemetery on June 28, 2025, at 2:30 pm with The Reverend Father Jean Bélisle officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
