It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a dear mother, grand-mother, sister and sister-in-law, (Bertha) Marie MacDonald at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on July 10, 2025, at the age of 82.

Marie was one of nine children born to the late William and Susan (Dickson) Wilson on April 8, 1943.

She is survived by sons: Garnet (Tanya) of Chicago, Illinois and Todd (Kelly) of Moncton, New Brunswick; grandchildren: Nicole, Christopher, Connor and Gage.  Marie is also survived by siblings: Vesta, Robert (Dorothy), Maye (Gerry), Henry (Karen), Brenda (John), Colleen (Hugh) and sister-in-law, Faye Wilson.  She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Ben, daughter, Debra, brothers: Ronald (Ron), Jim and brother-in-law, Earl Gouchie.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the paramedics and all medical staff for their care and compassion shown to Marie in her final hours.

Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.  Funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 188 Wellington St., Miramichi on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm with The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrew’s United Church, Riverside Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
