Work on Anderson Bridge progresses

Local company fabricating steel for project

The Anderson Bridge replacement is coming along nicely. A new $93 million bridge was announced in 2017, but various delays and Covid meant the contract was not awarded until July of 2020. The bridge has been reduced to one lane of traffic for some time due to structural issues.

A local company, Modular Fabrication, is playing a big part in the project by preparing the steel for the bridge. The photo above was taken within the past week and shows the progress so far. Originally the bridge was slated to be completed last year.
