Thomas "Tom" Power, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at Percy's Place, on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the age of 83.

Born in Mortier, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Richard and Gertrude Power. He was a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces Navy.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Mona MacTavish; son Tommy Power (Sheila) of Fredericton; four brothers Joachim (Beatrice), Paul (Alice), Leo (Sarah), and Jerome Power (Darlene); three sisters Ann, Lucy, and Ellen (Wade); grandchildren Brooklyn and Brodie; great granddaughter Sophie; stepson Kenton Dunphy (Joy) of Riverview; stepdaughter Karen Francis (Robert) of Eel Ground; step grandchildren Jeremy, Brett (Danie), and Dylan; and step great grandchildren Drew, Mya, Serena, and Charlie-Rose.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Loretta (Late Joe), brother-in-law Aiden, sister-in-law Lillian, and step grandson Ryan Dunphy.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Losier and the incredible staff and volunteers at Percy’s Place who showed such love and compassion to both Tom and our family.
