The death of Roma Geraldine (Matchett) Allison, wife of the late Walter Allison of Whitney, NB, occurred on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 98. Born in Sillikers, NB, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Marjorie (Matthews) Matchett.
Roma is survived by daughters: Carolyn Newcombe (Bill) of Ottawa, ON, Debbie Dunscombe (Roger) of Madoc, ON, Dale Clark (Keith) of Whitney, NB; son: David Allison of Whitney, NB; sisters: Eva Matchett of Moncton, NB, Rhoda King of Moncton, NB, Valarie Harvey (Wade) of South Esk, NB; as well as 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents and husband, she is predeceased by sons: Gary and Burton; sisters: Lilian, Maurine, Martha, Katherine, Christine, Elsie; brothers: Sydney, Sialis, Delmont, Peter, Blair.
