The death of Philias Joseph LeBlanc husband of Verica (Pavlic) of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Percy’s Place at the age of 76. Born in Richibucto, NB, he was the son of the late Alyre and Marie Louise (Poirier) LeBlanc. 

He moved to Ontario for work and stayed for 40 years, meeting and marrying his wife of 50 years, Verica. He worked for the National Head Offices of General Electric in Mississauga, in the capacity of Collection and Credit Specialist and previously in Compliance for other well-known companies such as Hiram Walker, Esso and Nissan Finance.

Philias was a pleasant, kind, gentle, and compassionate man always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed travelling with his wife all over Canada, Croatia and Austria on nature trips, antics and walks with our canine companions through the years. His own hobbies included the study of Astrophysics and viewing the skies with his Telescopes.

Upon Retirement he and his wife moved back to New Brunswick and settled in Miramichi, for a life that offered the wide-open spaces and closeness to nature rather than congestion and high rises. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. God Bless him.

Besides his wife, Philias is survived by brother: John LeBlanc (Colleen Ferguson) of Chesapeake, VA, USA; fur companion: Julianne; two nieces as well as several cousins.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by brothers: Ernest and Yvon.
