MPF to host 911 Atlantic motorcycle rally

Community invited to participate, June 7 - 9

The Miramichi Police Force will be hosting the Atlantic 911 Ride from Friday, June 7th to Sunday, June 9th, 2024.

Residents can expect to see a larger than normal police presence in and around the city.

The Atlantic 911 Ride is a police-escorted motorcycle tour that takes place in a different Atlantic province each year on a three-year rotation. This ride raises awareness about fallen first responders from police, fire, and ambulance services who have passed away in the line of duty to their communities. Funds raised during this ride will go towards supporting the families of these first responders and placing defibrillators into various communities in memory of the fallen first responders.

The Miramichi Police Force hosted ride will see over 100 participants with police escorts from 18 policing agencies, n from the three Atlantic provinces and Ontario.

The ride parade will be leaving the Rodd Miramichi parking lot at 8:30 a.m. on both Saturday, June 8th, and again on Sunday, June 9th.

On Saturday, participants will be driving the length of King Street before leaving the city and heading towards Neguac, Tracadie, Caraquet, and Bathurst.

On Sunday, participants will be traveling on Water Street towards Loggieville before leaving the city and heading towards Baie Sainte Anne, Pointe-Sapin, Kouchibouguac, Acadieville, and Rogersville.

The finish point for the ride will be on Sunday at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the NBCC on University Avenue.

Residents are welcome to watch the departure of the parade and to meet the visiting officers and the ride participants at NBCC on Sunday.
