Lorraine Mary ( McGraw) Cortes

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of our dear mother Lorraine Mary McGraw Cortes, of Kelly's special care home and formally of the Williamstown road, which occurred on July 13th, 2024 at the age of 78 peacefully at the Miramichi Hospital surrounded by her family.

Lorraine was born on October 6th, 1945 in Pont-Landry NB. She was the only daughter of the late Medrick and Elizabeth ( Proulx) McGraw. 

She was the loving wife of our dear Dad Levi A Cortes (1939-2015) 

Mom was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend. 

She worked hard all her life, she lost her father at a very young age and helped Memere (Elizabeth) to help with raising her brothers. 

She was a stay at home Mom, who occasionally would clean homes and look after seniors. 

In her spare time she enjoyed many things like playing bingo and cards especially with her niece Celine and her brothers and sisters in laws. 

She also love baking and sewing. She worked side by side with Dad on the farm and worked the garden. She made us many Sweets over the years like Peter's lemon pies and my favorite gum drop cake. Dad loved it all.
