Karl-Heinz Uerkvitz

The death of Karl-Heinz Uerkvitz of Nelson-Miramichi, NB, husband of Annegret (Behrmann) Uerkvitz occurred on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Percy’s Place, Miramichi, NB at the age of 97. Born in Hamburg, Germany, he was the son of the late Hedwig Uerkvitz. Karl-Heinz and his wife owned and operated an office supply store in Germany prior to moving to Canada in 1983. He and his wife bought property and settled in Tabusintac, NB and more recently moved to Nelson, NB. After moving to Canada Karl-Heinz enjoyed fly fishing and gardening.

Karl-Heinz is survived by special friends Dick Irlam, Zondra Biggs and Rosi & Hans Mecking as well as other friends and neighbors.

At Karl-Heinz’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Tabusintac, NB, later in the spring.
