Community Hub Success Story
Her Strength. Our Support. A New Start.
Age: 66
Eviction Date: June 16, 2025
Dependents: 2 dogs
When a 66-year-old woman came to the Community Hub, she was facing an unexpected eviction and had been sleeping behind the public library for roughly two weeks. With no family support in the area and limited income, she was left on the street with only her two dogs.
Despite the challenges, our team quickly mobilized to support her through every step, from emergency shelter placement and income assistance referrals to housing navigation and landlord advocacy.
Thanks to the swift collaboration between our Community Hub Outreach Team, Housing Navigator, Adult Shelter, and community partners, she was successfully rehoused in just three days, along with her pets. The new unit offers stability, safety, and a chance to rebuild.
As of July 7, 2025, she is settling into her new home with hope and gratitude. We’re proud to have played a part in this quick and compassionate response and will continue to walk alongside her as she rebuilds.
No one should have to face housing instability alone. This is why the Community Hub exists.
