Dad was a gentle and kind soul who was loved by everyone he met. He was a caring individual who was often concerned about the well-being of others, even people he did not know very well.

Dad was a member of the Canadian Air Force, worked for CN Rail for many years, and was also a woodsman and worked at wood camps for several years.  He was also a volunteer fire fighter in his early days.

Dad loved playing guitar, darts, bowling, horseshoes, Wii and cards. He was a true nature lover and loved walking in the forest and enjoying all that nature had to offer; as well as spending time with his pet companions Penny, Tia, Bambi, Peppi and previously Rusty.

Most of all, he loved every minute he spent with his wife, Lucienne. They were married for 68 1/2 wonderful years.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 31, 2025, at L’Ascension Roman Catholic Church from 10-11am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 o’clock with Fr. Antonio Reyes officiating.

In memory of George and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Percy’s Place in Miramichi or to the Miramichi SPCA.

We will miss you very much Dad, love you lots.
