The death of Evan Drake Dedam of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, occurred on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 41. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of Everett Dedam (Diane Savoie) and the late Loretta (Mitchell) Dedam.

Besides his father, Evan is survived by sisters: Vanessa Dedam (Marcel Drisdelle) and Kayla Dedam both of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; brother: Noah Dedam (Ashlee Storey) of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; maternal grandmother: Elizabeth Mitchell; nieces: Amelia and Loretta; nephews: Hayden and Dawson; girlfriend: Melissa Barnaby.

Besides his mother, Evan is predeceased by sister: Chianne Dedam; paternal grandparents: Marion and Noel Dedam; maternal grandfather: Roger Mitchell.
