It is with profound sadness that the family of beloved Eugene Willard Rolfe announces his unexpected, tragic passing on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 68, in the loving presence of his partner Shelley Cameron (formerly of Fredericton, NB). 

Gene was a devoted and loving father and is survived by his daughters Heidi Rolfe Patel (Arnav) of Vancouver, BC and Marybelle Cameron-Pack (Ian Crawford) of London, UK. He was also a proud ‘Opa’ to his cherished grandson Kiran James Patel. 

Also left to mourn are his mother Ada Rolfe (nee McAllister) of Sunny Corner, NB; brother Kim Rolfe (Karen), special niece Mackenzie Rolfe and special nephew Anderson Rolfe of Burlington, ON; sister Deborah Mullin (Stanley) of Boom Road, NB; special niece Zabrina Hamilton (Ashley) and their daughter Raya Hamilton of Oromocto, NB; sister Brenda Donovan (Matthew) of Sunny Corner, NB. 

Eugene is predeceased by his father Jarvis Alvin Mackenzie Rolfe; grandparents Willard and Adavilla Rolfe; Mervin and Leva McAllister. 

There will be no visitation or reception. The service will be held at St. Stephen’s United Church, 1876 Route 420, Red Bank, NB E9E 1A1, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by interment in the church cemetery. 

It is the family’s wish to hold a Memorial Celebration of Eugene’s Life in the Spring of 2025. 

The family wants to express their sincere gratitude to the extensive team of the Emergency Department for their heroic efforts. Special thanks to attending physician Dr. Kevin Russell and Coroner Raymond Decock for the care and compassion they showed us.
