David Joseph Landry of Miramichi, NB, husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Landry, passed away peacefully at Percy’s Place, Miramichi, on July 6th, 2024, at the age of 77 surrounded by his family.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on September 15th, 1946, David Joseph Landry was the son of the late Joseph and Viola (Hebert) Landry.

David was a real family-man.  He adored his entire family, and his grandson, Jalen was the apple of his eye.  He loved to be around people and was very out-going.  David was a Postal Clerk with Canada Post for close to 40 years.  There was nothing better to him than a good house party with music.  He enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, camping and four-wheeling.  He attended St. Michael’s Basilica. 

David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty; daughter, Tracy Landry (Justin Poirier) of Miramichi; son, David John Landry (Angela Murphy) of Lylleton, NB; sister, Jean Comeau of Sheet Harbour, NS; sister-in-law, Ethel Landry, of St. John, NB; as well as grandson, Jalen Bowers (Maddy Sarks) of Eel Ground, NB. David is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, David was predeceased by two sisters:  Joan, and Dorothy; and four brothers: Joseph, Carl, Ronnie, and infant brother, Billy. ...
