The death of Dave Richard Augustine of Metepenagiag, NB, occurred on October 17, 2024, at the age of 46.

Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of John Peter Augustine Jr. of Metepenagiag, NB and Marion Solomon of Metepenagiag, NB.

Dave was a Jack of all trades and worked at various jobs over the years, fisherman, carpenter and lumberjack. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Besides his parents, Dave is survived by his children: Nakomis Augustine and Hannah Augustine of Eel River Bar, NB; Ella Augustine of Metepenagiag, NB; Hayven Francis of Big Cove, NB; Joshua Augustine of Metepenagiag, NB; sister: Carla Augustine of Metepenagiag, NB; brothers: Albert Augustine and Conrad Augustine of Metepenagiag, NB; Barry Simon of Big Cove, NB; grandchildren: Grayson, Weston, Alice and Arlo.

Dave is predeceased by paternal grandparents: John Peter and Bertha Augustine and maternal grandparents: Amos and Theresa Solomon.

The family will receive visitors at the home of Elene Tenass, 5 Mountain Side Road, Metepenagiag, NB on Thursday after 7 PM and again on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11 AM with Father Peter Igwe officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In Dave’s memory, donations may be made to Metepenagiag School or Mental Health and Addictions.
