**Public Assistance Needed – Copper Theft Incident**
The Miramichi Police Force is seeking the public’s assistance regarding an incident of copper theft that has caused significant service disruptions in our community.
An individual attempted to steal copper wire from a telephone pole located at the end of Chapel Road, near the former Zellers property in Chatham. This act resulted in a widespread service outage affecting our community. Bell Aliant, Rogers, and several contractors are currently working to restore services.
The repair costs are estimated at $30,000.
