Something awesome is happening in Historic Chatham!
Our new banners are going up—and the first ones are already turning heads.
(We have 2 up in Elm Park so far... but trust us, more are coming soon!)
Pictured here is Bill Hicks, quietly watching the install. Back in the 1980s, he was the driving force behind the original sail mast banners, helping shape the identity of our downtown. Watching him witness this next chapter unfold was truly something special.
These new banners are more than just a pop of color—they’re our official welcome into the Historic Chatham Business District, a nod to our past, and a bold step into our future. And we’re just getting started—more banners will be installed next week!
