The death of Carolyn (Foran) Sutherland wife of Earl Sutherland of Exmoor, NB, occurred on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the Miramichi Hospital at the age of 76. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Lillian (Trevors) Foran. Carolyn was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank and a member of the St. Thomas Choir. She worked at various jobs over the years including the Dominion Grocery Store and more recently at Earl’s Meat Shop. Carolyn was well known in her community for her baking (especially her peanut butter fudge), kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 90 and North & South Esk Lionettes. Her membership in the Liberal Association lead her to work at many polling stations for both provincial and federal elections.

Besides her husband, Carolyn is survived by sons: Bradley (Shelley); Jonathan and Sammy all of Exmoor, NB; sisters: Loretta Sutherland (Calvin) of Sunny Corner, NB; Judy Levi (late Gerald Levi) of Red Bank, NB; Monica Vanderbeck (Stephen) of Sunny Corner, NB; brothers: Joseph (Lois) of Miramichi, NB; Paul (Marlene); Robert (Joanne) all of Sevogle, NB; Warren (late Josie) of Exmoor, NB; brother-in-law: Stanley Sutherland of Sunny Corner, NB; grandchildren: Aurora, Nova, Eaton, Riley, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Carolyn is predeceased by nephew: Tyson Foran and many sisters & brothers-in-law.
