November 1, 2024
With much sadness, we announce the passing of our brother Blair Robert Bohan, of Barnaby River, who passed away peacefully at Percy's Place, on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the age of 79.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late John and Theresa (Grennan) Bohan. Blair worked a long and dedicated career at the Mill (UPM-Kymmene) and made many long lasting friends. He was a kind, generous man who loved his community and was always there for his neighbours and friends during a time in need.
Blair lived with some health issues after retiring, preventing him from travelling and doing activities which most seniors enjoy in their golden years. Blair's door was always open for visitors. You could find him in his tv room watching the news and his special shows, or in his back porch overlooking the Barnaby River, where he chatted with his good friends. He could always give you the report on the wildlife near his home whether it was black bears in his field, moose or deer on his lawn, or ducks and geese coming up from the river. Blair was an avid Montreal Canadians fan.
He will be greatly missed by his seven sisters Mary Ronan (Late Raymond) of Nowlanville, Doreen O'Shea (Late James) of Miramichi, Mona Waye (Late Artie) of Miramichi, Ruby Hutchison (Late Harry) of Miramichi, Joyce Gill (Late Kevin) of Barnaby River, Brenda Bohan of Fredericton, and Lois Sherwood (Late John) of Norton; two brothers-in-law Raymond Burns of Bathurst and Reggie Daley of Miramichi; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
