It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bertha Marjorie Shaddick, RN, of Miramichi, NB, on October 20, 2024 at the age of 85. She was the loving wife of the late William “Bill” Shaddick. 

Born in Douglastown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ada (McLenaghan) Williston. Bertha was a member of St. James and St. John United Church, UCW and Miramichi Retired Nurses.  She was a nurse at the Miramichi Hospital for 38 years. Bertha’s family was her pride and joy. She also enjoyed baking, knitting, gardening and taking many drives with Bill. 

Bertha was the loving mother of Brenda Dunnett (Sheldon) of Whitney, NB; Sandra Bradley (Paul) of East Lahave, NS; Barbara Myshrall (Chris) of Nauwigewauk, NB; Beth Connors (Tim) of Oak Point, NB; Sharon Simpson (Daryl); Shelley Connell (Stephen) all of Miramichi, NB and Darren Shaddick (Belinda) of Strathadam, NB. She was also a loving grandmother to Nathan Dunnett, Evan Dunnett (Kandace), Kaitlin Heikkinen (Mike), Thomas Bradley, Jacob Myshrall (Samantha), Jeremy Rasmussen (Jack), Robyn Myshrall (Raph), Sarah Wiseman (Luke), Olivia Parkhill (Jeff), Eric Simpson (Jessica), Matthew Simpson (Taylor), Emily Connell (Chris), Abbey Connell (Wesly), Jared Shaddick and Owen Shaddick, and a great grandmother to Sophie, Mary, Victor, Caleb, Charlotte, Connor, Emma, Jett, and one new baby due in the very near future.

She is also survived by sisters Carolyn Richards (Charles) of Moncton, NB and Lydia Meszaro (Andy) of Massachusetts, USA.
